Things that make me Angry Face: Feminism

This is something that has bothered me for a long time.

Feminism. Or, better known as Feminazism.

And why is this something that makes me angry? Because women want equal treatment, yet at the same time, expect to be treated better than men.
Now, don't get me wrong, I'm a female, 100 percent, and yet I have come to the conclusion, that maybe women aren't as good as men. I accept that. I deal with it, and you know what? I'm perfectly happy with that fact.

What's that, you have boobs and a vagina, and you give birth? Well woopdefriggen do, what are you expecting? A medal and a bigger paycheck? Think again, you stupid twats.

Women all over this country, (America, anyways) expect to be treated just like their male counterparts, yet God-forbid, actually get the same treatment. You still want men to hold the door open for you, to walk on the outside of the sidewalk, to pay for your dinner, to compliment you, to carry your purse, and buy your tampons, because even though you're the one who's bleeding, you'll be damned if you miss your shows, or that sale at Bloomies.

What have women done for men lately, besides complain about everything they do? Make dinner, do the laundry? No, not really. Maybe once in a while a woman will toss a frozen lasagna in the oven, but then it's back to spending your husbands money online! Oh those shoes are so cute, I have to have them! I don't care that I don't bring in any money to the house, it's all about me and what I want!

Ladies, listen. You want to be treated like a man, then honey, you can work like a man. Let's face it, how often do you see a woman working construction, or as a commercial fisherman? Or even as a trash collector? Oh that's right. Almost never. Because you don't want to ruin your nails! Well then, don't expect equal rights! Get out there, get dirty, and maybe you'll get better treatment.

And you know what else bothers me? Women who sexually harass men, and yet don't get punished for it. And yes, it does happen, it's just not as reported as it should be. So it's OK for a woman to ogle a man, and wonder aloud how big his package is, or even slap him on the rear, but heavens no! If a man asks a chick if her tits are real, or stares too long when she bends over, alert the police! Ladies, get over yourself. You can't expect to be treated equally, if you aren't willing to be held to the same standards.

And let's move on to my favorite topic. Domestic abuse. Yes, when a man hits a woman for no reason, that is wrong. And yes, he deserves to be punished, as should any unprovoked physical violence. But when a woman hits a man, well, that's OK. Because she's a lady! Well news flash, Sister. If you can throw a punch, you can sure as hell take one. Don't whine about men not giving you the respect you think you deserve, if you're not willing to accept the consequences.

Prove that you're just as good as a man! Don't think that just because traditionally you're the "weaker sex," that you have to act like it. Get dirty, learn to change the oil in your car, and maybe work over time at work for a change.

If you don't want a man to call you a cunt, don't act like one.

Exceptionally brilliant,
Zombie Julie

  1. The funniest part of this rant isn't that you haven't done any research on working wages (still ~20% less on average for similar jobs) or domestic abuse (it's more than just punching, silly). It's that your picture states that feminism is childish, and then you start yoru rant off by saying that you're fine with being treated as an inferior (aka like a child).
I would imply that you probably feel horrible about yourself and are covering it up with some sort of pseudo-toughgirl facade, but you would most likely retort with something like "news flash; I AM totally right and not trying to shield myself from the sound of my own inferiority complex!"
    NEWS FLASH
    NEWS FLASH
    NEWS FLASH
NEWS- yeah, you need to stop using that catchphrase, it's pretty annoying.
Now, to be constructive, I will admit that feminism as it is often practiced, the whole 'don't open the door for me' mentality, doesn't get anything done. I find myself wondering if part of the solution is to raise men more responsibly and giving the basic emotional and physical skills needed for daily life so that they don't turn into the unstable manchildren that I saw involved in domestic abuse while I was growing up. If a guy was actually able to cook and clean and able to express his emotions and desires clearly, he might be more sympathetic to his wife's plight, and not have to resort to the sort of parasitic shouting and threatening and beating that I often see in domestic abuse situations.

  2. I appreciate your comment, and who knows, everything you said about me could be true. Or it could be totally, you know, not true. And this could just be something I pulled out of my ass, or it could be my actual opinion. You never know!

  3. That's your brilliant rhetorical defence to a well-researched rebuttal? "I was just kidding all along, maybe?"

    Fuck, you're hopeless.

  4. I agree with you that some women totally take advantage of the whole thing, but usually, the people who are all "Hold the door for me, I can't do it myself, feed me, give me money" aren't the ones who are actually feminists or working for equal rights.

Those are the people who are just asking like over-sized kids, and acting like woman have been treated for centuries- don't work, be mollycoddled, etc.

And about the whole making dinner, doing laundry thing? Sure, I can't be in every family and have every example, but I know that at least in my family, my mom is the one who does a lot of the work. She wakes up earlier than the rest of us so she can finish up any work she couldn't do the night before and to grade her papers for school that day, she goes to work for 9 hours, then comes home and makes us dinner, does the dishes, and does laundry when she gets home, then does more school stuff, studies so that she can be a better teacher, goes to a second job that night, and then drives me to rehearsal. And that's just while I'm awake.

I can see just where "Anonymous" is coming from, but I can also see where you're coming from. So, please don't eat and kill me, either of you.

  5. I totally agree with your recent rant on Black History Month but I don't agree with this rant at all.

To be honest, it sounds very childish, when you consider how misogyny is a much bigger problem than misandry ever has been. A woman punching or slapping a man is trivial to a man who will beat his wife to a bloody pulp, or even death, because she does not submit to him like she is some sort of subhuman slave.

If a man were to make a rant as you did above, I would be extremely disgusted by his ignorance and obvious lack of understanding of how prevalent misogyny is in our world. But when a woman rants like this, it irks me and makes me lose a little hope inside.

I'm not saying we have to press forward with bitter anger and burn bras, but I think everyone should be aware before making a rant as silly as this.

By the way, I found you through Haiku Comics =p

  6. balance and pure motive, people. generalizations based on someones own unfortunate upbringing or current state are never productive. you don't have to be a bark biting fem nazi to ask for equal pay, etc. and it doesn't make you wishy washy or immature to appreciate old school manners and acts of kindness like a man holding the door for a woman(especially when i am carrying a child;))we need to acknowledge the differences and similarities in men and women and look for the ways they compliment eachother and balance everything out. then, remember that there are hermaphrodites, transgenders, woman bigger and meaner than my husband, etc and see how hard it is to generalize
